Kepsibel's creative practice is characterized by a repetitive and ritualistic engagement with the material world. Unbound by a commitment to conventional materials, she develops idiosyncratic processes, refining them over time on surfaces and substrates. Paintings, fibre sculptures and conceptual installations are confessional in nature and imbued with a sense of chaos and urgency as she attempts to align with her internal world with her perception of the external world. The act of concealing and revealing through mark making is achieved using oil paints, oil sticks, acrylic paint, natural dyes, pastels and watercolours.

Kepsibel is living and working on the unceded lands of Wurundjeri Woi wurrung and Boon wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation. Her work encompasses her curatorial, community and visual projects. She co-founded the artist run initiative Let's Pretend Gallery in 2021 and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2024.

'Bush Art Gallery: Coming Home' at Strawberry Fields Arts & Music Festival (2023). Curated and produced in collaboration with Meg Kelso.

'Into The Light / Into The Dark' at Let's Pretend Gallery (2022). Curated and produced by Kepsibel.

I respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land I live, the people of the Kulin Nations. I pay my respect to their Elders, past and present. I acknowledge and uphold their continuing relationship to this land and honour the oldest living people's rich tradition of story telling through the work I create on land that was stolen from them. I recognize their resilience in the face of continued discrimination and am committed to listening, uplifting and supporting their voices. Australia always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
